I have two 12 volt license plate lights that are 1/2 Chrome plated and 1/2 frosted lens mounted in the footwells of my S to light up the interior (floor) when I open the doors (its grounded through the door button ground switch). It appears that the local auto parts store lists 2 bulbs that fit this fixture. The packages (either the # 97 or 89 bulb) are labeled - doom, license plate or side marker. . What's the difference - wattage, size , 8 digits or something else? Is there an LED fit for this small fixture?
