Not sure how much bass you want, by the looks of things it's safe to say that you're looking for extreme bass. Not trying to take anything away from you but can't you just throw in a pair of 6" midbass? There are midbass that can handle 200 watts or so, it's just a thought.

I'm not going for extreme bass really. I just want to fill in the lows a little bit more. These are midbass speakers but people use them quite a bit for subwoofers.

You can see they they handle there own pretty well. But hey, if this doesn't work then i'll just try something else.

Why not just buy a set of S-Pods (I am sure Mark can ship you a set without any holes cut in the front side) and then cut your holes for the sub in the rear piece?

Also, the front plate for the S-pods (that holds the speakers) is made of aluminum. That would shake like a biatch with an 8" sub in there.....

You got some balls glassing in the car like that....I would remove the entire roll-hoop / rollbar assembly (but that is just me ).

If you get it looking good, you should consolidate your posts into a single one. Looks good for your first time.

So i went to homedepot to get some bits that would work on the jigsaw but when we got home to try it the bit was the wrong size and kept falling out evertime we hit the metal.. So it was not ment to be today but tomamrrow i should go pick up some diffrent bits and then on the weekend(btw fridays my birthday!!!). We should be back in buisness. I try to focus on school all week so I can be free on the weekend so the next update should be saturday.

John: thanks for the compliment. It's kinda hard to see good in it with my dad shaking his head everytime he looks at it..

WLAURENT: The Spods dont give the clearance that i need. I dont think I'll be facing them towards the seat because they have a really big excursion. I dont think it would be comfortable with the seat as far forward as it would have to be.

Hi Avernus

I was actually talking about putting the subs in the backside (like you were planning). Pretty sure Mark can ship you an SPOD set without the holes cut in the front.

Believe they have a gasket of sorts around the perimeter of the plates.

Wow those would be really great but it's $300. I'm not saying it's not a quality product because i'm sure it's worth every penny but I just dont have that kind of money laying around to buy these. I'm getting close to actually having an answer of my own. I will keep it in mind though.
