Default 2000W RMS amp, w/ built in fans

Does anyone have any experience with a 2000W RMS amp, stable at 1 OHM, preferably mono channel?

It needs to have built in fans, and not be subject to overheating.

I've been having too much trouble with mine, and I figure it's served long enough, had it for about 4 years.

Also, where would be the cheapest place to find one?

Thanks!

I live in cali we see 110 degree days too..lol

Also you know audiobahn isn't true power, if it says 2000 wats ur probully only getting 1400 if that...

Also for example your A18001DT your looking at only has 4 30 amp fuses.. In easy terms you wont surpass 1200 watts with that amp.. Otherwise those fuses will blow.. So you will likely only get 1000 watts or less out of that amp since 1200 is the blowing point..

If you want a real amp go with Rockford Fosgate, JL, Kicker, Hifonics, amps like that..

I agree...I'm in Fresno...today...only 103....we've already had our 114 for the summer earlier on.

Kicker is only 2 ohm stable.

Hifonics is stable to 1 ohm. I've used the Brutus amps and they work well and are great value...check the BXi 2008D or even an older model like the 2006D's.

From what I see on the JL website 2000watts RMS is over their capability.

Looks like Fosgate has the Power T20001bd...pretty high priced though.

Have you tried an extra fan around your amp to move the ambient air around a bit?

FYI...Looks like the new version of the Audiobahn now has internal fans. Could be a design change from yours since it is older.

All great info except I have a 1 ohm stable kicker amp

kx1200.1

And yea rockford is very expensive but if your running audiobahn subs then you wont need that 2000 watts because of the same reason.. Those were designed to work with those audiobahn amps.. And since those audiobahn amps dont produce much then you probully only need 1200 or so watts for those subs..

all the kicker and rockford fosgate stuff i've had in the past has sucked and blown. My audiobahn stuff hasn't let me down, except for this amp and its 4+ years old.

Are alpine amps any good?
