Alright, I found this about the 2005 Accord keyless entry system:

"The keyless entry system is integrated with the MICS. The multiplex integrated control unit (MICU) receives LOCK, UNLOCK and PANIC signals from the door multiplex control unit (keyless receiver)."

It appears that the MICU handles several features in addition to the keyless entry system.

I'd love to find a wiring schematic of this MICU. I did stumble across this webpage which did give some idea of the wiring.

I remember looking into this years ago. The newer cars all use CANBUS wiring.

I can get you diagrams from an Acura TL and I actually did buy a TL keyless entry control module. Never did figure out how to get it to work. I can sell it to you cheap or let you borrow it if you think you can really figure this all out.

CarbonCrew is correct...

S2000 and earlier cars (late 90's era) have a separate keyless receiver unit, the early 2000s era cars [02-07 Accord, RSX, etc.] have the keyless receiver integrated into the MICU, current cars are integrated as well but also use CANBUS architecture.

If you want to replace the keyless receiver in an S2K, you'll need to swap with either a JDM/EDM S2K version or a unit from a 98-02 Accord, 97-01 CR-V, etc. [because all these vehicles have outputs for electric trunk/hatch release like the S2000]. I'm not confirming that any of these would work for sure, I'm just theorizing here.

That being said, absolute easiest method would be to change the frequency of the stock S2000 keyless receiver, I've never looked inside the unit but maybe it's as easy as swapping "crystals" [like R/C cars]? Just a thought here.

Schmitt, the swap of swapping crystals has crossed my mind. I threw it on the back burner as I have no experience with SMD soldering and I was hoping to find a solution that the entire S2K community could achieve. In the end, this may be the only viable option as the hurdles become too much.

I have learned that the MICU unit for the 03+ Accords is located within underdash fuse box. From the eBay pictures I've seen, it is a large unit, no surprise there. I'd love to get my hands on one of these units to see if the keyless control portion of the MICU is an isolated module or integrated to the component some how.

If you don't mind I would still like to see the PCB. Even though they may not be identical, there may be similar enough to source other parts.

Okay, unfortunately I sold my DSLR camera recently, so my only camera is my iphone. If can find something better, I'll post some pictures.

iPhone pics would be fine, that'll give me some idea as to what is on the PCB.

Also, I think I'm going to get a 3 day trail of the online Helm Inc. site, so if you can think of anything you'd like me to lookup, make me a list.
