Default 2003 Headrest Speakers

Im looking to install the Headrest speakers on my 03 s2k. It seems that Honda doesnt list the kit for 00-03 just 04 and 05. but i found through the installation instructions on www.handaaccessories.com that there is an attachment harness required for the 00-03 models. (i guess 04-05 has this harness pre-installed from the factory) The only problem is that there is no listing when i call Honda. Does anybody here know if i were to buy the whole kit (PN 08A54-S2A-100) will it come with everything i need to install the speakers on my 03? and if not, where the hell can i get this extra wiring harness that i need?

Anybody who had DIY this mod to their car knows exactly what im talking about.

For the money? The money is outrageous. I've heard them too. Two little dinky 1.5" or so cheap drivers in a plastic housing? How much do they get for a pair of those? $500.00 per set? Just for the parts? Do what you want but I seriously doubt that you will find many if any here who can recommend them. Have you investigated S-Pods?

Try this Clicky
Cheaper and sounds better as they are 4 inch speakers.
If you look around there are quite a few that would fit ok.
Look for speakers with a flat front and lugs for fixing.
I powered them from the unused rear amps on my Alpine HU and
because they are so close to your head they don't need a lot of power.
They have made a big difference to my car

You might look at the rear speaker set up from Lucid, I installed it in our car with the stock HU and it was great. You get 5 1/4" speakers instead of the smaller units in the headrest. Plus the headrests look better open in my opinion.

I dont know what youre talking about. I heard them last night in an 04 and they sounded great. Its a lot better than hearing nothing at all. and for the money and a genuine Honda part you really cant go wrong.

back on topic....can anybody help me?
Did you hear them doing 70 on the highway, top down, or was the car parked with the engine off?

IIRC, I think you need to run new wires from the headunit to the rear for the speakers (in a 2003 and down)....so that means the harnesses will need to be purchased seperately. You would be MUCH happier with SPODS.
