Default 2004 head unit

I was talking to one of the club members and he said that swapping a 2004 HU for a 2000 HU would give me more power, ability to add XM radio, and still allow me to use my OEM CD changer.

Just want to check the validity of what he said. Anyone have any comments?

OEM changer will probably be no problem, but I think the HU actually has to be replaced in a '04 to get XM. At least that's what I've read here.

No, the 04 headunit has an XM ready hookup that goes to the trunk. All you need is the antenna, receiver, and service.

Ah, okay. Must've read it wrong.

Still by the time you purchase that stuff OEM, you could've probably gotten an aftermarket setup, until the Blitzsafe adapter works for stock Honda HUs.
