2004 OEM stereo wiring
I plan on installing an MTX amp with high level input so i can keep my factory deck. so logically i should use the rear speaker output. now i know the 2004 s2k doesnt have rears, but i assume the deck is a generic honda deck so all the rear speaker wires should be there... i'll need to run rear wires off the harness to the trunk to supply audio to the amp.
can someone tell me what wire colours off the deck will be the rear L&R channels? also, i'm definitely at a amateur-mediocre level when it comes to wiring, a suggestion as to where to breach the firewall and where to run/hide all the wires to the trunk would be super. a DIY with pics whould be wicked!
thanks!

all s2000 headunits have both front and rear channels, but the early cars
have no wires in the factory headunit harness to access the rear channels.
Eventually Honda started selling accessory headrest speakers, and they
added the rear wires to the harness, and your '04 should have these.
They apparently terminate by the driver's right knee - here are the
headrest speaker installation instructions which hopefully will help you -
step 56 shows you where the harness is.
As for the rest of the install, there are about a 1000 threads documenting
various installations - start with the stickied "how to" thread and then
use search - "amp install" would be a good starting point.
Good luck!
