2018 - LED bulbs to replace high beams - any good option?
#32
With the extra clips, they stay in position better, but the rubber cap is actually doing a lot of the work. For high beam LED bulbs, is there fear of over heating if I'm using the OEM rubber boot? Thinking of maybe cutting some holes to allow the LED to stay cool.

[QUOTE=JS2k.com;24519951]Reviving this thread to provide a solution. We now have a custom harness + LED solution that will allow any S2000 00-05 or 06+ or DRL equipped S2000.
Joey,
Were you able to fix the issue with the rubber cover? Need these for my MY2000 AP1 high beam.
What is the price on them?

Visited the website, it does not list the LEDs for the 2006+ model. Having said that, does anyone offer LED kits if an owner wants to disconnect the fugly yellowing factory DRL bulbs?
Cheers.
Cheers.

Time to kick start this topic again.
I've apparently not driven my 2006 at night in several months, maybe not for a year. Last night I attended a meeting that ended a little after 8:00 PM and started driving home my usual route which is dark. Had to pull over after a couple of miles to be sure the Halogen high beams were functional they seemed so dim. Before I put in new Halogens I want to determine if there's a working LED option.
(I had my Ford Expedition's reflector headlights converted to HID (Low) and LED (High) 6 years ago and this lighting has spoiled me.)

www.theretrofitsource.com should have options.
I just bought BNIB OEM headlights for my MY00. I plan to use the Morimoto D2S bulbs at 5000 or 6000K and considering LED for the high beams. I currently use the blue halogen bulbs with good results.
My G37 coupe has the 6000K D2S Morimoto with LED foglights and I love the combination.

Searching for H1 high beams to replace my halogens. Will these work? And if so which Morimoto D2H 2Stroke 3.0 LED Bulbs housing cap extensions for S2000 high beams? Search by vehicle took me there.
