What's the difference between the Rear and the Rear Clamp models? Doesn't seem like the Fusion file you posted before had the clamp.

Oh, ignore the rear clamp. that was a part I was testing but it ended up not being needed. It was actually in the fusion file but it was hidden.

When you mean "cut the back off" did you have to separate the OEM mirror with picks like the Gentex Mirror?

Or did you just take a tool and crack open the OEM mirror and harvest the stem?

No, literally have to cut the back off. I used a dremel and a cutoff wheel. The Gentex mirror can separate into two halves but as far as I could tell the OEM mirror was 1 piece. Again, mine was already ruined so i didn't care about destroying it. Maybe there is a way to open it non-destructively but i really couldn't find any.

Okay, that makes sense. I'm looking at the OEM mirror it really does look like 1 piece. Thanks for the print files!

So we figured out that the OEM S2000 mirror is simply inserted inside the mirror housing and clicks in. With a bit of heat and prying we were able to remove it without entirely destroying the mirror.

Also, I noticed the holes on the didn't line up with the metal pieces. Do I need to print another one up? I grabbed the first file uploaded on this thread.

Hmm that's weird. maybe i uploaded an older revision. I will check, but it should be easy enough to just redrill those two holes in the plastic.

Good info about separating the mirror! i had no idea.

question. do the mirror adapters made by mito not work? i get not wanting to attempt removing the button, but there are adapters that mount on the oem button to use a standard mirror. do they not work for what youre doing?

My understanding is the S2k button is unique, all the ones labeled as generic Honda just won't fit.
