I want to install rear speakers, but I must admit that I do not really care for the look of the "cut out panel" mod (sorry Lucid!!!). Has anyone tried to install other speakers, maybe 4 x 6, in the area where the existing vent louvers are in the rear panels? I realize that the louvers would have to be removed but maybe these speakers could be mounted to the back of the panel and a simple flat grill added over the front. Is this type of speaker inferior to the others that Lucid offers?

 

Rounds are always better than ovals. You can get a 4x6 in there. Why bother when you can fit certain 5-6" speakers back there (depending on how far back your seat goes)? Believe me, I've been through MANY brands/models (some people never heard of) and cut hundreds of panels (seriously). As for looks...who looks back there anyway?
