I'm looking for a five channel amp. I currently have an Xtant 404M that I like very much but need the extra channel for a sub. I don't want to add another amp because of storage reasons, and would like to just replace the Xtant with a new 5 channel amp. The Xtant is in the trunk above the jack in a custom built space. Any recommendations out there. Thanks for your assistance.

I tried an Alpine 5channel that worked great - I believe it is 4x60 + 1x120

However I brought it back and put two Rockford amps in the car - 1 in trunk (mono block) and 1 under drivers seat (4 channel without end caps) - planning to add Lucids rear kit soon.

Interesting that you replied to my post, because it's your sub enclosure that has me asking this question. I will check out the alpine products.

Thanks

I'd say do it right, get 2 of his enclosures and a Class D amp.

I suggest the Cadence Z6000. Good stuff, reasonably priced. Check it out at CadenceSound.com. It's just being launched...should be available very soon.

FWIW -- the Cadence Z6000 is now available, and you can run it five channel (that's what I'm doing). It's also DTS certified -- has a distinct center channel and sub channel. Very impressive piece...
