I spent a few hours online searching for a way to connect my ipod directly to my kenwood unit. I found that the kca-Ip500 is the closest thing to what i want BUT it doesnt support 5g according to some sites and some dont bother to mention it. does anyone with experience know if this is true?

I cant find any other alternatives to what i want since i'd like to:

-control the ipod from the head unit
- charge as its plugged in
- still like to use my sat radio
- not use radio freq

I have the Kenwood KDC-MP532U, which has a cable-extended usb input that works with ipods, thumb drives, and flash card readers. I am quite certain you can use the head unit to select songs on the ipod. I got this unit on ebay for quite a bargain (<$200).
