Default 8200bt and ipod

hey guys... i see alot of you guys have the pioneer 8200bt. are any of you using it to control your ipod via bluetooth? anyone using their phone via bluetooth?
i have the pioneer 960bt and i just got the new ipod 32gb. when i want to listen to my ipod via bluetooth, i have to go to settings, general, bluetooth and pick the pioneer headunit and put in the 4 digit code everytime. i was hoping it would auto connect when i get in the car each time. does anyone know if it is a problem with my radio? does the 8200bt auto connect with ipod via bluetooth? does the 8200bt auto connect with your cell phone too? are there any tricks to get them to auto connect? if so, i may have to switch radios and buy the 8200bt. let me know. thanks

I recently got the 8200bt and am somewhat disappointed. You can get it really cheap these days, but I am very frustrated with the menu system. Also, the 8200bt does not support audio via bluetooth as far as I know; it only does calls. Sound quality is on par with other head units.

The fit inside the s2000 is also less than stellar. My opinion: buy a more expensive deck.

I have a different pioneer model, can't remember which one, but I never got that bluetooth pair for music to work so I just have it plugged in with the ipod cable. Calls do pair up though

thanks for the input guys. i was really hoping it would auto connect on both phone and ipod. even though it is a hassle setting up the bluetooth connection each time on the ipod, it is nice not to have wires running to it. the sound quality is very good using bluetooth which surprised me. if anyone can recommend a decent pioneer deck that supports both phone and music via bluetooth, let me know. thanks

I agree the Pioneer MVH-P8200BT menu can be a little better, getting to the song list is a be inconvenient. I was really happy about the 2 DIN 4200DVD model I had before, best menu I ever used so after that I was a little let down by this unit. And having the USB up front is just plain stupid

I believe the latest Kenwood KIV-BT900 is a little better in terms of menu wise, but it doesnt by pass the internal amp of the iPod which is kinda down so SQ wise Pioneer is a lot better. And also they have a USB in the rear! Alpine is no contest here.

I have no problem fitting P8200BT into my S2000 and it looks clean and awesome, all my friends are so jealous....
