Default Add a Circuit

I am going to hardwire my PowerMagicPro and I'm wondering if those Add A Circuits is the proper way to go. Most of the DIY guides I read all use those, but I also run into a post here and there suggesting that they can be damaging.

well. i had those wired my V1 back than for few years, never had a single problem,
right i removed my V1, n using the same circuit with a dual USB 12v power outlet, it's works flawless.

if u worry about it, u can do the direct wire from the battery if u want, or tap a wire to the fuse box under the hood.

Just finished wiring my Blackvue with those Add-a-Circuits. Hopefully everything is set up properly... First time doing any wiring! Power Magic Pro is working and it's recording while parked. Have it tapped into #9 and #26 on this diagram https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/806...sebox-diagram/ BTW my Owner's manual has #26 listed as 10A but it has 15A fuse on there. (I think it's listed as #15 in my manual. They started counting from the top) I grounded it to one of the nuts behind the clutch pedal. If I messed something up, please correct me before I damage anything!

There's an easier way - the under-dash fusebox has three accessory power connections:

E - on with the headlights
D - on all the time
C - on with the ignition
If you connect to these you should make sure you have an inline fuse as they are capable of delivering
quite high current.

I've never had problems with them.

As with anything, consider the source and an improper install can always cause problems.

That's actually pretty cool.
I was wondering if i can add a 12v dc to 5v @3a converter right there with just wire tap in n ground it.
The converter can be tap directly to battery.

FYI, I just received my Power Magic Pro in the mail. The difference between that and your radar is that the PMP requires a line to a constant source, in addition to one that comes on with the key in the acc position.

taifei, which dash cam did you buy? Let's see pix of your install!

I sold my set up,so i don't have any picture now,but since u need a conatant power,u can do a direct wire to the constant power add on plug, picture above.
First thing u need to do is go to auto zone or pepboys ,get a add a fuse ,it's like a wire line with a round twist fuse holder, than attach to ur go pro wire,if they provide a hardwire mount cable kit.
If not wire it to a 12v eocket outlet, than attach to the 12v power inlet from ur cam .
