Adding sensors to OEM alarm
I installed the DEI 504D shock sensor on my OEM alarm using the hood pin lead coming from the OEM alarm. I checked and I have the blue wire (from the sensor) connected to the yellow\red (yellow w\ red stripe) wire in the alarm wiring harness. The green isn't connected to anything. For power I just tapped into the alarm power wires. I recommend using the alarm power leads because then the sensor will only be on when the alarm is on and that is obviously what you want. The alarm will give off warning honks with a slight bump and full alarm if bumped hard.
It was a very simple process just make sure you have the diode going in the correct direction and that you have good connections, I soldered all of mine. I mounted the sensor on one of the looms of wires under the dash on the drivers side. Its the bundle of wires closest to the center console.
Overall I am very satisfied with it.
If you have any problems along the way feel free to ask.
