Default AEM wideband gauge normal operation

Its seems my wideband gauge seems to fluctuate from 'x' value to '--', when idling it is okay.

What does '--' mean it normal to see this during normal operation? ie when crusing or should it just purely swing from different AFR values?

Thanks

Wrong section - try under the hood...

My AEM bounces from 14.2 to 15.1 at idle sometimes - but is usually right in the 14.5 to 14.9 range.

-- means that the AFR is leaner than the wideband can measure (believe that is leaner than 15.9)
