AEM wideband gauge normal operation

AEM wideband gauge normal operation

Its seems my wideband gauge seems to fluctuate from 'x' value to '--', when idling it is okay.

What does '--' mean it normal to see this during normal operation? ie when crusing or should it just purely swing from different AFR values?

Neither is okay. Lookup the instructions for the wideband on the AEM website. I am sure both X and -- are errors and it's trying to tell you something.

Hi, thanks

I have looked in the PDF it doesnt mention ---

'X' was just an AFR value just using X as an example

I think --- could mean out of range ie l< 10.0 AFR and > 18.0 AFR

That means out of range. normal.

lol...oh...you mean like when you're off throttle and it leans out. Got it...yeah, -- is normal under those conditions. lol

Sorry...I understood that you were seeing an 'X.'
