Default Aftermarket alarm question

So now that a little of the excitement of actually getting my s2000 has gone, I am looking into getting an alarm for it. I am looking into getting an alarm and was wondering how well things like these Field disturbance sensor actually work. I am planning on buying a hardtop some time this summer, but am still paranoid about someone slashing my top for the seats. Any help is appreciated

The dual zone proximity works pretty well. It depends on how sensitive it is set. It can be set to trip the warn setting if someone walks by the car to close. Full alarm setting can be tripped if someone reaches inside the car.

I have one and cant complain.. the proximity sensor works very well with the top down and i can turn it on and off if its raining or have my dog inside.. Its an autopage rs1000 but I have tilt sensors, proximity sensor, barometric sensor, its a 2 way pager and it has a gsm module hooked up to call and text if not acknowledged or out of range from the paging remote..all 3 sensors can be bypassed via the remote and so far (knock on wood) no incidents..
