alarm + car cover?

Default alarm + car cover?

is it possible to put a car cover on if you have an alarm system . . . like the clifford RS 3.5? i have the car cover and was going to buy an alarm and was wondering if i could get any help on what to buy or just advice with the car cover + the alarm system. thanks

I don't get it. Maybe I don't understand the questioning...

Can't you put the car cover on then arm your car if you're worried about setting your alarm off?

thats like asking *can i put a club on my car with a lojack?* am i missing something here? why could you not put a car cover on a car with an alarm??

If the alarm has a proximity sensor maybe he's thinking it will interfere.

i'm guessing this is what he's getting at. i'm also wondering if the car cover would trigger the proximity sensor. anyone know?

i suspect that the car cover (if puffing or flapping in the wind) could set off the proximity detector if it had sufficient density... during heavy rains, my prox has been known to trip stage 1 and chirp like crazy...

you might be able to adjust sensitivity around the problems though to prevent falsing.

Works for me too with a prox sensor. Disarm your alarm when you put your cover on and when you take it off and you'll be fine.
