Whats up guys....Im thinking about an alarm....specifically compustar top of the line 2WSS-AS.

Where did you put the modules, and where did you wire everything to??? (steering column, etc)

The Compustar is a good alarm. Installation was a bit different because they use a different color scheme for wiring and a lot of the programing of features was extensive. I have heard by some that the range stated is accurate, and others have said sometimes it doesn't work when they are only a hundred feet away. Also check out Prestige (made by Audiovox- www.Audiovox.com ) Model aps-590. It is just as full featured as the Viper 691XV, has 2way confirm, 4 other optional channels, and one bonus is it has a telematics port on the brain. The Carlink basically plugs into the alarm brain, and lifetime usage is included in the original purchase. Here is a description of the Telematics- Carlink CL-100A.

Just got mine installed yesterday by Twized (One of New England electronic wizards)
went with a Valet 554R
two way lcd screen
arm/disarm
remote start with neutral safety switch
shock sensors
hood pins
inside temp reading of the car while away from it
ect etc etc.....
Scott also added a window control unit so when i walk away from the car and arm the unit, the windows will automatically go up. i can also press a button and the windows will go down an inch to vent or i can drop them all together (this also serves as "one touch
