Alarm Question
I washed the car today and was tooling around to kill time as I always do on Sundays.
I went to a gas station for get some water and smokes. I left the top down and the windows up. When I came back, some friggin teens were leaning all over the cabin looking around and pointing.
I've opted not to get an alarm up to now sighting their general ineffectiveness. Nobody reacts when alarms go off anymore.
I'm considering one now. I'd like an alarm what activates with some manor of authority and has a motion sensor for the cabin. Not too concerned about hood and trunk protection although I'd like to keep the keyless entry and remote trunk release.
I'm afraid I don't know much about what's out there and forum searches have proven fruitless. What type of alarm would fulfill these criteria? To get the cabin motion sensor, do I have to put some big-ass box in/on the center console?
Thanks

Both Cliffor and Viper offer basic alarms with 'proximity' sensors. I have the Viper and the sensor is in the glove box (would have put it under the console but the Viper box was a bit too large and would have required minor cutting), I think that the Clifford fits under the console though.

The problem I find with my cabin radar sensor is that when I leave my top down and something falls into the cabin (leaf, large bee, etc...) It sets the alarm off. For that reason, I don't turn on the alarm when I leave the car with the top down...
If someone really wants something, there going to take it regardless of the alarm... Plus, there's nothing in my cabin that someone can remove in the 15 minutes I leave the car with the top down (My stereo installation can only be removed by removing the dashboard).
