I got the viper 5901 installed at best buy today for 540 with the trunk release, so far i like it, but I haven't tested it much at all. I'm gonna get the proximity sensor later on, and also the tilt sensor once I get some nice wheels

I was at best buy yesterday and they were selling the viper 5901 (for $499) that I almost bought until I decided to look it up on my phone and Amazon only wants $250!! Talk about markup...

That's what I found but its hard to find a place to install a unit you didn't purchase from them. I'm trying to figure this one out. Need one asap!

im surprised compustar was not mentioned. they are the only ones with a real out of the box remote start. they are great systems, better than viper imo. i didnt think id use remote start often, but i use it everyday, its very handy to let the car get to temp before getting into the car.

i suggest the 5901, you dont need the doorlock relay pack, you can tape into factory alarm module, you do need relay for trunk pop,
i normally sell this alarm installed (no remote start) with proximity for $435, remote start requires another module to bypass the need for a key, module and extra time for remote start cost more....

i have done the digital tilt sensor and battery backup on these cars as well....

typical markup on car stereo/alarms is 100%, plus labor... the internet is killing this industry profit centers.
