TO the ALL KNOWING ELECTRONICS GURU"S
Running 1 channel of the amp per side will seriously screw up your phasing and sound stage. My advice....power the doors with the amp, and leave the rears alone powered off the headunit for fill.

Actually, given where you are, and the goals you have set, the Pro60s will be PLENTY for you. Sell the lucid rears and just run the fronts off the amp. You will be VERY happy with the sound, and will NOT miss the rears.

Ok, from a power standpoint, assuming I'm going to just run the amp with the front speakers........which specs would be better to go with, or would either work.
Amp is 150 watts (not sure what the RMS is) 4ohms
Speaker A:
80 watts RMS-220 watts peak, 4ohms
Speaker B:
Rated RMS power handling 125, watts 3ohms

ignore all "peak" numbers, whether for amps or speakers. Better amps
always give you RMS numbers, that Alpine is 150 watts per channel RMS.
I wouldn't be too concerned about the RMS ratings of those speakers -
obviously B could handle more power, but without knowing its efficiency,
you can't know whether it's actually capable of producing more volume.
Go with whichever speakers sound better TO YOU.

Ditch the rear speaker unless you are planning to run rear surround channels with them e.g. watch movie, etc. You have a good selection of HU, Front components and amp.
OK guys I need some more guidance. I think I may try and hook up this amp myself.
What I need to know is if this kit has everything I need. I think it does but I'm not sure about the stuff around the battery.

I read another thread along the same lines that siad to buy all of this
al-a-carte. Since I'm not sure what exactly "everything" is I dont want to do this. I'd rather just get this kit, unless you want to list all the connectors, fuses, including the stuff around the battery.
Just a recap of what I'm doing:
Alpine 9886 HU
Alpine PDX-2.150 (powering the door components only)
Most likely Boston Acoustics Pro60's in the doors
Lucid rear panels (already in the car) powered off the HU
Thanks for all your help,
Brandon

I've been doing audio setups in s2k's for a while now and a true believer that YOU DO NOT NEED REAR SPEAKERS!
My car only has one set of Focal K2P's and one JL 10w6v2 in a custom enclosure. Done correctly and with dynamat, you get awesome staging and who needs crappy rears????
Problems with rears:
1) You mess up the soundstage since in any concert you want the music in front of you right?
2) If you are going to use cheapo coax rears and run it off the deck, your rear speakers will start to clip/distory way before your amped fronts so why bother?
3) If you are tall like me, your speaker cushion will be flush against the speaker so thereby limiting any output anyways....
My recommendation, use a quality 2 channel amp to run the front speakers and get a nice mono amp to run the subwoofer. If you want pics of my setup let me know.

1. We are talking about a audio system in a car with a fabric roof (at best.) Properly faded I don' have this issue.
2. Not had this problem with my rears.
3. I'm tall....no problem with output.
The OP has 'em....I still say install them (it takes less than 10 minutes) and adjust the fader....if he doesn't like...then sell.
