Alpine 9813 wiring
Had a look to see if I could get any info out of Alpine before posting but buggered if I could find anything on the Europe site!
Anyway, what I was wondering was, how easy it is to install one of these head units?
I've read elsewhere that you need a direct line to the battery because of the built in amp, is this really true/required?
Also, if so, how hard is this going to be to do. I'd rather not have to dismantle the dash. Been there, done that on other cars and rather not have to do it again!
I'm not scared of a bit of wiring as I've done the full HU/MCD/Amp/Sub/Speaker install before on a Golf but I just don't like the idea of having to do the same on the S.
Finally, what's the deal with the 9812? This only seems to be a Europe model. Is it much different?
Cheers
