Default Alpine CDA-7878 availability?

Hi,

Anyone found out any more about this unit? Have been waiting since May. Dealers say that it is due out "this month" each month I call.

It sounds like a great unit. MP3, sat. radio ready, tons of other features. It also uses the same transport mechanism as the Alpine F1 unit.

I am also keeping my eyes on it. So far no local shops here in Houston has it. I have seen it sold somewhere on the net tho (forgot w/c site it was).

Anyways, it is going to retail for $850. A bit pricey but it has tons of cool feature and Alpine rep and quality, it should be worth it.

Thanks for the info Worm! Has anyone found a dealer who has them in stock?

Also, any updates on Soundgate's alleged S2K remote audio control interface?

I'm sure it will be $850. I will shop around for a lower price and maybe set up a group buy if we get more interest on this baby.

Let me know how many is interested.

Later,

I would be in.

With the CDA-7878, what is everyone's plans for the remaining components (speakers, amp, sub, etc.)?
