I have been waiting a couple of months now for the new Alpine MP3 head unit, CDA-7878. But the release date keeps getting pushed back. The latest from a local dealer is sometime in early August. The list is $850, and Audio Express' price is going to be $799.

Has anyone else seen or heard of a sooner release date. The Alpine web site is sadly short of any info.

This looks to be a great new unit. It uses the same transport mechanism as the F1 series.
