Default Alpine Deck to Factory CD Changer

Is there an adapter that can be purchased to hook up the Factory CD Changer to a Alpine 7894 head unit? It might sound a bit silly, but the CD Changer is already installed in the trunk and therefore, I would like to continue using it. The Alpine deck mentions that it will connect to any any Ai-NET compatible changer. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

The adaptor used to go from an OEM HU to an Alpine Cd Changer is not for the Ai-NET changers. I don't really have an answer, but I don't think you could adapt the above unit to work since it is not for the Ai-NET changers.

I don't think the factory changers are Ai-NEt compatible, they were based in the previous generation of Alpine changers.

Nope - been there, done that. Do a search and you will find all types of related questions. The stock HU and CD changer are M-bus. I found an M-bus adapter to use with an aftermarket head unit and Honda CD changer but when I got it found out the adapter was round but the changer cable connector was square. I spoke with the company that sold it to me and they said at some point in time the cable connector was upgraded/changed (?). Anyway figured it was a lost cause. I have the Alpine 7894 as well - the reason I bought it was for the MP3 feature. Figured the additional cost for MP3 would outweight buying a new cd changer ($250). You can put more songs on an MP3 cd than your changer would come close to holding. I plan on posting my changer on the for sale forum.

Thanks TampaS2k & nEVERCLEAR,
I guess I'll pull out the CD Changer to make room for the golf clubs. Have a great week!
