Arrow Alpine iDA-X100 = More Static?

i just got my new deck and speakers installed, but i noticed that im getting more static than i was when i had my stock HU and speakers. does this mean the wiring was done bad or something else?

UPDATE: so i just got finished talking to the best buy installer and he said that its common to get more static with aftermarket HU. i asked him about the power wire for the antenna (blue wire) amp and he said its connected and all. the only probably would probably be the deck being an aftermarket HU. he suggested i get a Radio Enhancer to enhance the radio which plugs right behind the HU. are any of you experiencing this problem with the X100? also i am running a 350z antenna.... could that be the problem?

Well i dont know if im correct, but in my other car i was getting alot of static through my speakers. i went and rechecked all of the wiring and the headunit wasnt grounded properly, so i had to find a new place to ground the headunit and that took care of my problem.

so maybe you can check the ground wire for an easy fix,

Did you do the install yourself?

if the static is only on the radio, it's likely because they didn't hook
up the power antenna wire - the s2000 has an amplified antenna
which is powered off the power antenna wire like a retractable
antenna would be.

would they be able to hook up the power wire to the new HU without a problem or do i have to purchase something else to make it work? do i have to have an s2k antenna or a different antenna (e.g. a 350z antenna)?
