Default Alpine IDA-X100

So after the previous thread I went and bought the x100 instead, due to saving a little money and also I could get it as soon as possible... Installation went pretty easy, with the only issue was wiring the USB cable to the secret compartment, as a de-limiter box was in my way which made it a PITA.

Managed to get it all finished though, works perfectly... loving the sound quality and the ipod integration. I was a bit nervous at first about the difference between the GUI for the ipod that i was used to in comparison to the button one... but the color display and rotate/push navigation but my mind at rest. At the moment the circular button slightly hits against the door when it closes... but I reckon i could shift the headunit back a bit further if i messed around with the wiring... anyway here is a couple of pictures and (once uploaded) a little video of the unit in operation...

And finally one zoomed out shot so you can see what it looks like within the S2000 interior...

So what you think? Any Questions??

Any reason why you opted for the X100 before the X305?

Your steering wheel is on the wrong side!

Haha, glad you found something you're happy with... with my x305 my knob does NOT hit the door... it might take a little bit more work just messing around with the wiring back there, but then again I'm not sure if the knob is the same size on the two models.

The X305 can actually be found cheaper then X100.. check out the MSRP on Alpine's site.

Regardless, the entire iDa line is excellent.

The knob on the x100 should not be hitting the door. Ive got it on my car. It took some persuasion but the wires moved.

I am not sure about the CD changer sorry, but I think it's basically the wires behind the Headunit that is stopping it from resting... I haven't had a look at it since I first installed it due to the exam period... but straight after i'll get it fixed
