I know the new hu's can play pandora radio from their iPhone but has anybody been able to get it working with a Ida x100?

If your phone is jailbroken, there is a app you can download called "music controller". Basically it let's you control pandora and other music apps like your iPod. I'm wondering if this would work...

How would an app deal with a shortcoming of the head unit?

 

You would be suprised with what some apps can do...

Again, it basically plays pandora radio as if you were playing it from your ipod.

There has to be some guys on here with a x100 and an iphone...

 

Found my answer on some other forums. You can stream with the x100 as well.

yes it is.

 

Pandora, iheart radio, netflix app, slingplayer and many other similar apps are easily played on the ida-x100. Simply start your ipod as you normally would with it plugged into the HU. Once your ipod music starts playing hit pause,then open pandora or any other "audio,video app"of your choice and it will play. No need to be jailbroken. FWIW I use the high speen USB cable, Im nearly positive it works with the full speed cable as well. This has been verified by me with iphone 3g,3gs and iphone 4 with ios 4.1.

 

Everything works great on my ida-x001, I usually stream over bluetooth though.
