Alpine iDA X305 confused on modifry
im looking at the apline ida x305 headunit but im confused on a few things:
i want my controls on the dash to work so im prob going to go with a modifry unit. but i dont know which one to get or what to get with it? like the wired DCI or the IR DCI? and should i get the SDV kit? what im asking is what do i get? haha
also is it plug and play because i really dont want to splice wires?
also when you have the ipod hooked up does it charge it or would i need to go inside and charge it after every time i use it??
also does anyone know where the thread is to hook up the ipod in the glove compatment?
and im not going to have an amp for now. just going to have the front speakers run off the alpine head unit. what speakers would someone sugest? something that will give me good base and sound. like i said its jsut going to be the 2 front speakers. and can i just wire up the speakers to the wires in my door. or is there a plug adn play or a diy on that?
and does anyone have a installed pic?
thanks guys!!!

I have the iDA-x305 in my car with the Modifry Wired DCI (for Alpine) and the Plug n' Play harness from Modifry (needed if you don't want to splice wires).
It does charge the iPod when driving, and it's compatible with iPhones too. No idea on the speakers, I haven't upgraded mine but it has better sound quality even with stock speakers.
Here is the thread for the install, page 1 and 2: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...c=404767&st=25
Really good headunit, I love mine.
