Anyone have any experience with this new alarm in any application? I'm going to get an alarm, and its down to this or the Clifford Intelliguard 8000. The Clifford is about twice the price for the alarm unit, and there are features on the Clifford I don't need (BlackJax, Remote Start, etc). Plus I really dislike the CF remote.

This Alpine alarm seems like a very good deal. It comes with an impact and radar sensor, everything can be adjusted by the remote, and its from a good manufacturer at a great price ($155 off the net). I have a great installer down here who will install it (I know the install is key).

Thoughts?

Thanks Guys!

I'm also looking at the Alpine 150R and the Clifford (concept 400). The Clifford remote is indeed fugly. But I'm most concerned with the reliability of the two proximity sensors. I've heard good and bad about both.

Got a Alpine 150R put in today....

So far the only problem seems to be the shock sensor
It is super sensitive even though it is turned down all the way
Hopefully it will get better after some use, if not I will have to relocate it...

I will keep you posted if I have any other issues..

Prox sensor works great, the BLUE LED light is a definite bonus and the cool four button remote rocks.....
