Default Alpine Type R Component problems

So by going with what the above guys in the thread below said, I bought a set of alpine components for my S2000. Everything installed fine except on thing. The "plastic stop" that does not allow the glass window to go too high hits my magnet on the way down and it does not roll down all the way. Its too deep by about 1". The window has about 2-3 inch lefted before it dissapears into the door panels. YES, I put the spacer that came with the speakers on there too. I thought about taking the plastic knob off but it looks like it goes through the window to the other side, so that thought went out the window. UNLESS, its screwed in only, I undo the speakers to see cause I was in a hurry to go somewhere. I know a lot of you guys run these speakers, is it just me or its something you guys sacraficed as well for a good set of comps?

Thread where a few guys said it would fit fine and didnt mention any problems.

I didnt make one. I used what was given with the components, which seems more like 1/4" instead. Still with that, its still hitting about 1/2" of the magnet.

A one inch spacer will clear the door panel.
