Seas is among the suppliers of OEM drivers to high-end speaker manufactures. They also sell a high-end line of car audio speakers under the Seas Lotus brand.

What Neutered is discussing is buying individual drivers, that may or may not be specifically designed for automobile application, and then using active crossovers to match the drivers to each other and the rest of the system. The rewards can be higher than picking off the shelf pre-matched car audio component systems, and the cost can be less, but requires more know-how and tuning time.

oh, i need to see if if i can tune the amp i have driving my speakers, and if that isn't good enough, i'll get a new amp, if it's still not up to snuff, i'll get some new components...

dang i just checked out the SEAS site...they look like they are serious business...

its some kenwood 2 channel...not very powerful or anything, only like 200w total output? i need to find a better one though, last summer it was always overheating
