Default Alpine V12, MRV-F307

Hi guys,

I am thinking to buy an amp to have my stereo upgraded..!! However, $300 bucks for this one, is it a good price for it? since it is 2001 model, and 2002 is coming up with new products...so, is it worth the money? what you guys think?

I have an Alpine 5-channel I think its the MRV-T302, its the Vpower version. Its pretty damn good. 75x4 and 120x1. Works great!

I would not worry too much about the '01 model vs '02 model thing...power won't change (ie 100w is still 100w) maybe the design of the casing. Old stock is a good was to get a deal on equipment.

also, it is 90Wx4. 480W max output? I am a newbie to the stereo...

4/3/2 means that the amplifier can operate in 3 different modes.

a - 4/3/2 = 4 channels, each at 90 W
b - 4/3/2 = 2 channels, each at 90 W and 1 channel at 180 W
c - 4/3/2 = 2 channels, each at 180 W

I may be off on the actual wattage output, I just pulled it from your post.

I figured that... BUT, 2 of these fan-cooled puppies would completely out-power a 307 and only cost $100 more. I am trying to live vicariously through others who might buy this amp... I want one or two of them (but I don't need one or two of them )

That's all.

Look into the amp I got the MRV-T302 (I think thats right). Its 75x4 and 120x1. I originally had the 4-channel version and swapped it out for this. I paid $199 on sale for it.

I already picked up an Alpine MRV-T757 for my sub. I need another amp (Alpine V12) which can do 4 channels (fronts and rears)...
