okay so i'm trying to get an amp for my car,
but no speaker upgrade, no sub,
just aftermarket coaxial speakers and headunit.
boston acoustics rx67, and sony cdx- m610.

i wanna put the amp under the passenger seat,
so i narrowed my options to those blaupunkt pa series. (those digitial t- tech. ones...)

three kinds,

and

basically 75, 100 and 150 watts versions.

given my speakers and head unit, which one should i get?
please give me some advice, but keep in mind that i only have
the coaxial speakers and no subs.
... i might get sub if i find it necessary in the future, but not for a while.

thanx in advance.

well get the 1st one. Those are amazing prices too. WAY below cost. wonder why

actually with just coaxials you'll have to cut off the bass so you'll need a sub anyway. Even the small one would push too much at full range and distort at hard bass notes. Maybe get 2 of them, the 75 x 2 for the doors and the 150x2 for a sub.

All my cabin speakers cut off at 110hz, sub takes the rest.

75 per side should give you plenty of headroom for a set of coaxials...though if you plan on upgrading to a comp set someday, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get the 2150 at that price...

yes, i was also considering these amps. i have a kenwood KAC-849 and a set of soundstream components.
i might be completely retarded but, i am thinking of going with a smaller lighter amp just for the weight savings. i already ditched the fiberglass 8" box. 4 lbs vs 8 lbs for the amp alone.

what do you guys think of the blaupunkt amps?
any body out there running them yet?
do they fit under one of our seats?

i installed the blaupunkt pa4100 last december. It is a great amp. I installed it over the gas tank. It is completely enclosed in plastic box and i used a thick foam rubber base for it. Don't stick it under your seat, thats wasting a great glove box!!

150 for the both speakers and sub...
does that make sense?
Wouldn't you have to run your speakers in mono for that?

I think you'll need another PA2150 for your sub...

I installed my Blaupunkt 300 watt amp in the spare tire. It was very easy, and completely out of sight. I can just un-strap it and pull it out if I need my spare. I am very happy with it and have had no problems with overheating. I have rear Kenwoods driven by just the Alpine 9813 and Infinitys in the doors which the amp powers.
