Default Amp power question

Im not much of an audio expert and have a question on amping my speakers. Right now I have four speakers and tweeters powered just off of the deck, which is 50wx4, but apparently that isnt the true power output.

I want to get more power to them with an amp so will a 4 channel 4x55w amp be enough to make any difference? Should I get a 4x100w instead? Im looking at maybe an Alpine 4x100, 4x50 or Memphis 4x55.

Planet Audio speakers. Not sure the size or power rating. Theyre round about 5" diamter, not the ovals. Two in the front, two behind the seats.

4x100w should be good for majority of the speakers out there. making sure you configure your crossovers correctly to get the best output from your speakers. not running a sub?
