Hiya guys
Out of curiosity, what do you do/have if for whatever reason you have a blowout? It's putting me off doing this sort of thing, and don't trust those tyre weld sort of products
Thanks

I wasn't willing to give up my spare tire (too many years of driving experience, - don't be a fool on the road). I found a 5-channel amp that fits in the center of the spare tire wheel, with a covered wooden board to keep it from riding on the hold-down bolt. I had considered the area on top of the gas tank, but decided against it, once I saw the fuel pump connection that I didn't want to jeopardize.
The sub is a foot-well mount from 2Big4aS2000, but it left me with a carpeting fit issue that I still have to contend with, so that I can replace the kick panel and door panel. I added S-Pods with component speakers to match the new door speakers and the upgrade from tweeter-less AP1 panels to AP1.5 so now we have 4 tweeters and 4 woofers with a 10" sub-woofer to go with the new head unit. That's more than plenty with this car audio-wise.
Sub woofer is out of sight, with only a few inches of lost leg room, and since my girlfriend, a partner I intend to have for life, is only 5'1", she doesn't miss the extra space she once had.
Now we still have the spare tire intact, and no space in the trunk lost to an amp or sub woofer. Win-Win. We can still get two 22" Carry-On bags, and two backpacks in the trunk, with a can of glass cleaner, a quart of oil, detail spray for road bugs, and microfiber cloths.
Since we're now learning to pack a 22" Carry-On for weeks of travel, I am more and more confidant of taking the S on longer and longer trips. That also means no more checked luggage or associated fees.
