Here is another plug for Jim

Extremely helpful guy, knows exactly what he is doing and works with you to get exactly what you want. I purchased a flat amp rack for him and he accidently off centered the holes. Shipped me another one promptly with the holes centered. He is currently building my sub box and designed it exactly the way I wanted it.

Great guy to work with! Actually every major vendor I have worked with on this sight has gone above and beyond to help me out!

This is one of Pas2knuts originals, slightly modified.

i like it, it fits the car perfectly. no need to screw down. I cut the spare bump, it gives me more trunk space, allows my amps to breathe, and shows the power.
i really like this set up, my question is; is there any kind of draw back from having the front componets crossovers in the trunk like this?? i have also seen them on the back fender well. i like the looks but worried about loosing audio quality etc. by extending the cables any body knows anything about this??

Actually the trunk is generally the preferred location for the crossovers, they are far more protected than if they were in the doors and being subjected to the moisture and constant banging from opening and closing of said doors. There's really no drawback other than the expense and trouble of running the wire....which you have to do anyway if the amps back there, you just are running 4 rather than 2 wires into each door.

Not really a big deal. Personally I like them to be as close to the speaker as possible. Depending how big the crossover is you could fit it up front under the door panel.

Doesnt really matter!

When you wire up the doors use 4 conductor wire saves time and a ton of trouble.

Was told today that the 9857's will be in the local store on Monday the 3rd. What I plan on is the 9857 to Diamond S600s powered by a JL300/4. I'll use good wires and cables from the HU to the amp with 600 W 4G power and grounds.
Any ideas - this will be in the $1200 range doing the install myself. BTW, I have the amp rac!

Here's the latest install that I did today. It belongs to Dcon67 and there is another amp tuck in behind the flat rack. Dcon67 did all the work wiring everything. All I did is make it look good.
