Talking This amp really "rocks"

I just installed this Kenwood Amp, full range Class D, it really "rocks." Very well made, very compact. With these dimensions, 7 1/2" x 9 1/4", it is very easy for a stealth install. No need for an amp rack, it can fit in the space on the other side of the gas tank, directly behind the driver.

Really like its weight, and the fact it has a fan and two side ventilation grills. Since that enclosed area can get warm when the car is not moving. There are a few full range Class D's on the market now (Eclipse, Pioneer, JVC, Alpine). I was eyeing the PDX 4.100 but the Kenwood was on sale and it is a bit smaller.

Puts out 120 x 4, sound is spacious and do not detect any distortion. Haven't really turned it up because I don't want to blow out my component speakers rated for 50 watts, so I adjusted the gains.

One black mark: It does have a variable crossover, such as on my older Hifonics amp. It is designed for bi-amping, tri mode, or full range sound to the speakers.
I made adjustments to on my Alpine unit instead to even out the sound, and readjusted my sub.

Really, really nice amp, easy to install.

Been looking for an amp myself. Been looking at the kicker 3ch and the PDX. I'll put this on my list to check out.

Any pics of the amp or install?

Looking at the JVC Arsenal range of amps that are the same sort of power with even smaller footprint than above iirc. Alot friendlier in price too, but prob at a big loss in sonic quality....

umm...
The only thing smaller about the arsenal is the depth

jvc
250x62x182

vs

kenwood
235x52x192

jvc is almost $100 cheaper retail though.

The also allow you to mount it inside of the spare tire, too. I went with Kenwood because of fan, vs. no fan in JVC, but was also looking at the Alpine PDX.

Just some additional info for anyone else who wants to do a stealth install.
