Default Amp for under passanger seat

Is there an Amp that fits under the passanger seat? I want to install one but don't want to give up any space to do it.

Thanks.

I tried that route too. Couldn't find a small amp powerful enough to fit there. Or if it did, it would limit the seat movement. Eventually gave up and installed it on top of the spare tire. No space sacrified.

Here is the amp you want. It will fit perfect under the seat and is available for 249 from crutchfield. I saw it for 180 on another site. George

Big sound from a small package ? Blaupunkt's PA2100 amplifier is simply amazing! Blaupunkt uses innovative Class "T" technology to create an amp with incredible power and sonic fidelity.

The PA2100's highly-efficient operation gives you two installation advantages: an extremely small footprint (mounts just about anywhere without sacrificing cargo space), and very little heat generation (fits in tight spaces without overheating). Thanks to the low operating temperature, Blaupunkt's designers can house this stylish amplifier in sleek, modern-looking, lightweight plastic.

Built-in crossovers send the right frequencies to the right speakers, and a subsonic filter eliminates energy-wasting inaudible frequencies for improved clarity.

Key Features:

* stereo, bridged mono or Tri-way output
* 100 watts x 2 at 4 ohms
* 150 watts x 2 at 2 ohms
* 300 watts x 1 in bridged mode
* requires 8-gauge power and ground leads ? wiring and hardware not included with amplifier
* Class "T" amplifier technology
* MOSFET power supplies
* includes blue, red, orange, yellow, purple, and smoke colored lenses to cover controls on top of the amp
* speaker-level input adapters
* preamp outputs
* 50-250 Hz variable high- and low-pass crossovers, 12 dB/octave
* selectable 10 dB bass boost at 45 Hz
* subsonic filter at 10 Hz eliminates energy-wasting inaudible low frequencies
* remote gain control
* 9"W x 2-3/4"H x 7-9/16"D
* amp can be removed from plastic chassis for a hideaway installation (dimensions without chassis: 8-3/4"W x 2"H x 5-7/8"D)
* 1-year warranty

I have an MTX under the driver's seat. It puts out 70 watts rms into four channels although I have it bridged to output about 170 into two channes. It limits forward movement by a couple of inches only.

GREAT find! I have a 2002 S2000. Do I need the 4 channel verison of this amp to run the tweeters off or is 2 channel sufficient?

Thanks.

The blaupunkt is the way to go and the wiring. Well if it is only the two front doors, you only need 2 ch. The wires to the tweeters would go from either an external crossover or strait from the mid ranges if the crossover is located in the rear of the tweeter itself. Good luck

Just installed a 2100 Blaupunkt amp inside the spare tire and it is powering my Infinity 605 cs components with just the stock hu powering the lucid rear 3 ways. Nice sound.

I think I am finally done as I now have a good sounding system, (at least for me). I run the bass at 5 or 6 and the Infinity tweeters at only 3 or 4 with the fade at front plus 1 and I think it sounds great.

The RC cables have to run down along the door, and not the center console, or there is a terrible whine like a dentist's drill that varies with rpm. LOL

I havn't fully secured the amp in the tire yet and will possibly just foam it in. I may build a small round board for it to sit on, but to get to the spare it needs to stay separate so I can slide it out if I ever need to get to the spare. I left plenty of extra wire so I could pull it out of the way. The Blaupunkt can also have the plastic exterior removed if I wanted it to be even thinner, but it fits fine as is. I did not install the remote gain control as it can be adjusted on the amp anyway and I'm a "set it and forget it" kind of guy.

Thanks for the suggestions.
