Any bluetooth/USB adapters for the stock '02 head unit?
I currently have a Blitzsafe ipod/iphone adapter on my 2002 stock head unit. I'm switching to an Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) and was wondering if anyone makes either a bluetooth adapter or a USB plug that works with the stock head unit. I'd rather not change the stereo unit if I can avoid it (don't want the expense or the worry about theft).
There are certainly plenty of aftermarket bluetooth kits out there. Parrot is one brand. For music make sure you're getting one that supports A2DP. Some are designed just for calls.
That said, it would be a lot easier just to get a head unit with bluetooth/USB if that's what you want. Far less integration headaches. If you think an aftermarket head unit is more likely to get stolen you can always close the radio door.
