Any body know of a good bulletin board on Alpine security systems?
I'm interested in a bulletin board that discusses security systems. I have an Alpine SEC-8063 and would like to tweak it. The manual does not provide enough information about settings for different conditions. Anybody aware of helpful sites?
I've got this alarm as well. I adjusted the impact sensor because it kept going off in my parking garage whenever a SUV went by & shook the structure. I think I adjusted it down 1 notch- maybe 2.
Hi Guys... I have (2) SEC-8081 + a SEC-8063... I haven't installed the 8063 yet (and probably won't since I picked up another 8081) but what do you all want to do? Since I now have an 8063 "extra" I will be fearless about experimentation (but that's what I say about my Stook too)...
One of the coolest things I did was to put solenoids on the gas door and hood... touch of the button... trunk, gas door, and hood all open!

I'm interested in people's experience with sensivity settings of the interior and exterior radar. My alarm goes off at unpredictable times and I can't seem to get settings that are a good compromise.
Sometimes when I park the car to go into a store for a few minutes the alarm will go off within ten or fifteen seconds of the system being armed -- for no apparent reason. Other times, under the same conditions, it will behave as it should.
I'm also interested in settings for using a car cover or when it rains. These tend to set off my alarm.
So I'm just looking to learn from other owner's experiences.
