It seems that the Impact sensor is pretty sensitive. I have mine set real low!
The digital radar seems to be fine! No false alarms from the dig. radar yet.
What are your settings for Impact and dig. radar? For warning and trip.
I think mine are set:
Impact: warning =2
trip = 1
Radar: warning = 25
trip = 20

I'll have to double check these settings later.

 

Thanks, socal28. I don't remember my settings, but I know the impacts are much higher -- that may be my problem. I'll check them tomorrow.

 

I have a 1999 Alpine SEC-8052 in my Civic and really need to read the manual to make some adjustments. I wouldn't mind hearing some of your experiences, though. I was able to find the spec sheet for it on the Alpine site, but no manual.

I guess I have to do it the old fashion way and actually look for the print on dead tree that I got laying around somewhere around here. ;-)

Im really inerested in the 8063? How does it compare to a viper? I like the remotes better thats for sure. I heard the range is weak though, any confirmations on this? Can anyone throw me price range installed for the 8063, windows, trunk, door locks and the radar installed....from your own shopping experiences that is

Where did you all mount the LCD screen for the alarm? I had a previous alpine alarm on my 96 eclipse and it worked great-- we definatley need that radar sensor for updated audio
