The movie shows some dude walking around painting:

"iPods unreplaceable battery only lasts 18mos."

across iPod adds posted on the street.

I have heard of people sucessfully replacing the battery, and if you get an extended warentee from Best Buy or Circuit City, they will replace your iPod if it fails.

true... but due to this little film, Apple has reduced the fee for changing that battery from $255 to $100...

and designing an IPOD w/ an 18 mo lifespan battery isn't a big deal, but making it so that the battery is quite difficult to change w/o electronics experience is a bit ridiculous... those cheaper batteries are fine, but apparently there's some very detailed solder work in the process of replacing them...
so Apple's move here is a bit foolish, especially when you're standard replacement charge from Apple is equal to the price of a new IPOD.

kudos to those guys for getting the big corporation to listen to the needs of the regular Joe.

Anyone got an iPod connected to there OEM radio? I had a connector for my prelude that allowed me to play the iPod through the CD Changer function. Looking for the same thing for my 04 S2k.

check the S2000 Audio FAQ. there's a link in there on how to add an aux input to the OEM deck.
