I received about 1/2 of the 4 ohm DVC subs I ordered and still have not seen the 2 ohm DVC units.

I have been testing some other subs that are able to run in a small sealed enclosure. The one that stands out the most is the Audiobahn AW100T. It sounded very nice - but only comes in a 4 ohm single coil. I would actually say that it provided better SPL and hit lower than the KV.11.

PAS2KNUT will be installing it in a friends car this weekend and should have some feedback posted shortly there after.

I just can not rely on eD to get me product at this point, but do look forward to testing out Philip's Ov.11 when it arrives.

Cheers

William

If I was to order a passanger side enclosure with the 4ohm ED sub, how long before I would receive it? Interested in doing this today if at all possible.

I still have not received any of the 2 Ohm DVC subs - hopefully some of them will ship tomorrow to me with Philip's Ov.11

Will keep you updated once Ben calls me this afternoon (he has been at the hospital the past 2 days bringing a new baby into the world).
At this point I would hate to give you a firm date.

I was finally able to get eD on the phone and they said Ov.11's will arrive tomorrow (Philip will be glad to hear that). I may pull the eD offering for a while until I get this all sorted out. Had a few people cancel orders due to the delay (can not blame them).

I also sent you an e-mail.

It looks like right now I need to go the 2ohm route as it is, so I guess the whole thing is a moot point. Any plans of offering a different 10" sub like the Audiobahn? I'd be interested in something like this as well... will the enclosure with the 10" cut out be the same as the 8"? Thanks for your help.

William, that is good news. i noticed (and sent you an email) that the 11Ov.2's status on the ED site went from 'pre-production' to 'in stock' today.

i look forward to hearing more about it and how it sounds once it gets in... i'm hoping to come a bit closer to vision blurring bass than the 11kv.2 offered...
hopefully, the 11Ov.2 will do signifigantly more output than the 11kv.2 and will have more solid low end... while the 11kv.2 is a good little speaker for the price, i'm aiming for the best i can get, since i don't juggle gear in and out too often.

if nothing else, i've still got plan B for now... and based on a bit of research, i'm inclined to think it's quite capable of deep and loud.

I went ahead and ordered the Audiobahn AW100T from WLaurent. I'll post my impressions and pictures when I receive it. Thanks everyone!

It is actually quite close to the OEM - but not actually OEM.

Really depends on the lighting as the grain of the fabric is different and most noticeable with a flash camera.

Also - came up with a grill idea that will work for the 10" and 8" subs.

Let me know what you folks think - keep in mind that this one was welded by me, bent by me and rattle canned black by me. Finished products will be professionally bent, welded and p-coated a flat black.
