Mindcore was kind enough to let me know of this thread. As most of you can plainly see I haven't posted or followed the forum in while. As said I'm having some personal issues - not neglecting business for leisure or another affair.

Brian (who WAS working part time) is now taking on things full load. Some adjustments needed to be made to his schedule and thus the delays. He doesn't participate with the online forum here. However, as of now all things are flowing much better and orders are getting out much quicker.

I'll be getting back into things full swing ASAP. I have answered the correspondence via email as much as possible. Jenn and Brian have been taking care of most. I've always been much quicker - thus that delay in answering.

As standard store policy all order are NOT billed until shipped. There isn't any outstanding issues with holding anyone's $ if they were delayed.

Again, orders are now being filled alacrity. AND There are NO billing issues. We are also still a full sponsor of S2ki.com

A couple things to note...

OVERSEAS ORDERS are clicked off on the store online. There has been issues with verification order processes and credit card fraud. Often a phone call to several banks to verify a person needs to be done and this is very difficult with the language barriers in Asia and Europe. For limited basis if anything is needed it must be PAYPAL'ed or called in direct.

DCI ORDERS will be filled shortly. A batch should be in sometime next week to ship

Polk has completely changed their product lineup and their speakers no longer fit the rear area. The door speakers in certain sizes will and will be offered as they are inspected by us.

A question regarding less offerings of rear speaker systems came up a few times. Unfortunately, there are less and less models of 4" and 5.25" speakers that will fit the rear area. There are a few unknown brands that COULD be offered but as seen in the last 2 years these models do not sell and are not worth it to stock. We DO carry many of the dealerships for premium and known brands. Each speaker must conform to several aspects to fit the rear panel area - magnet dia. less than 2.94", chassis contours to area, grills must not protrude to rub the seat backs. You can MAKE a speaker fit on your own, but you WILL have to cut metal. our products are made to drop in fit - no major mods to the car.

I think that about covers it... Please EMAIL ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS that are specific to us to lucid@lucidautomotive.com Posting something in the forum will most likely go unseen!

I can't really apologize for circumstances beyond my control, but I do have concern and empathy towards the few that have faced longer than expected delays in correspondence and order processing.

Jim,

Got my speaker adapters. Work great!

Nice thing about doing business with a group of people like the S2000 owners is we look out for each other.
I had no issues with the fact that I had not received anything in the mail rather I was worried that you were no longer producing product, in which case I wanted to start looking for alternatives.
But its all good now.

Thanks a bunch and good luck in the future

Ted

I am glad to see that Lucid addressed us directly. That shows a lot of class IMO.

Thank you for the kind words guys and understanding. Things are getting better.

Brian has been keeping up on things and orders moving much more fluidly. I know he said something about picking up the Sony brand line. We'll see how that goes. One pressing issue is the lack of current and new speakers (brands we know) to fit the rear panel area.

The 2004 S will have to be reviewed when we get it in for upgrades too.

Only major issue we had was some credit card fraud from overseas orders and for the time being just stop taking any orders. When an order is placed, its called into the processing company to check that the billing address matches the card number. Often times with overseas orders they transfer you to an operator or have you call (at our dime) to verify and get passed to one person to the next. Add a language barrier and its just not worth it. Paypal seems to be the only viable option, but one issue I have with it is that it holds the other person's $. I never liked that idea due to the delays and custom order times these things take. US Airparcle has become unreliable and UPS charges can be 2x 3x higher.
