Default Anyone have Polk Audio DB651 speakers?

I'm thinking about getting these speakers. Are they a drop in fit with no mods? How are the speakers? Crutchfield says only the DB651S (short version) only fit but I'm convinced the standard DB651 will fit since there should be plenty of room.

I'm planning to use it along with my Alpine deck but I'm not going to run an amp.

I run these. They fit PERFECTLY into the OEM baskets if you use the supplied foam spacer.

Sound good altho my leg blocks the tweeter. I'm still learning to keep my leg in another spot to let my ears hear the beats.

I run the DB651. For the record, crutchfield also told me it would not fit the car. But I can prove otherwise!

Thanks for the info!!

Are the tweeters better than stock? Or did you just run another set of tweeters? I wonder if I should even bother using the supplied tweeters.

Otherwise, I may order the speakers tonight.

The tweeters are much cleaner than stock. I do use an amp however.

The stock tweeters are awful IMHO.

Did you go through crutchfield? If so with their speaker adapters I was able to install both my door speakers in less than 30 minutes.

Which speaker adaptors did your supplied Crutchfield ones resemble most?
