I have them - brite, silk tweeters and excellent mid bass - you'd really have to listen to them yourself though, and think about what your system will comprise of. Will you also have a sub? What HU and power? etc...

The HU will be Pioneer DEH-P7800mp, Alpine amp 75 RMS per channel, no sub. I have a 10" Cerwin Vega sub tube but I really don't want anything to rattle back there in the trunk so that is why I am not running a sub. If you think I can get away with turning my sub low and it won't rattle then please let me know...would love to have a sub to balance out the music.

One reason I got the Polks is because I wasn't sure I was going to add a sub - they are excellent without one, and I only use a sub as some low end fill.

I am on the same boat

i have a halfsized amp, oem HU(i have changer plus i don't want to loose the factory switches), Sony 3 ways rear spearkers and polks in the front.

they are great, i like them alot more than my sony

i have the amp to split out the high pitch from the rest so that could make the polk performs little better, who knows

I'm very happy with mine, especially for the price I paid -- ~$160 OTD.
