Default Anyone with Lucid rear speakers willing to make a

I've been thinking about buying some speakers, and cutting the back panels myself. But not sure excatly where the hole should be. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to make a template out of paper, or cardboard, and mailing it to me. I would be willing to pay for your supplies, postage, and your time.

Thanks

Ok, for a newbie, I have some "dumb" questions. Do I need that box/cup thing you have the speakers in.

Also, how big are your holes, and do you have measurements on how far up and to the side the holes are?

Thanks!

The cup things.... do you mean the speaker baskets??? If so yeah because those are part of the speakers If you mean the tweeter you may or may not have that, it will depend on what type of speakers you install.

Each speaker (unless you buy the exact same one I have) will have a little bit different size mounting hole. Whatever speaker you buy will tell you the pass-through hole for mounting that particular speaker, just follow that.

Also I could give the meassurements but the might not do you any good because again I cut them to fit these speakers.

The Alpine's I have installed are actually to big for the space I have to trim some metal away for these to fit proper as the magnet is way to big for the space but I really wanted these installed

So, some of the smaller speakers (magnets) will fit w/o trimming any metal bodywork behind the seats?

Yup no prob. I just wanted these speakers so I trimmed the metal. But there are some speakers that requires no trimming what so ever.

anyone have a reccomendation on which speakers to use back there (with an 2004 head unit)?? I would rather use one that will fit, without me having to trim any metal.

It all depends on your magnet and basket size for the positioning. There's a possibility if you use a hole someone else used your speaker may conflict.

I have a pair of Beyma RF502's back there that use neodymium magnets so they're very tiny.

I suggest you make the template yourself. Just take piece of cardboard that

If you are replacing front speakers with aftermarket components, then you can use the stock front speakers on the rear panels without trimming any metal behind the rear panels. Chris2002 did just that:
